PROGRAM SUPERVISOR – BEFORE SCHOOL AND/ OR AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
PLASP Child Care Services is a charitable organization operating on a not-for-profit basis, providing high quality early learning and child care, for children up to 12 years of age. PLASP operates in more than 240 schools providing before school, lunch, and after school programs and 30 full-day early learning and child care centres and six EarlyON locations for children from 0 – 6 years.PLASP is committed to hiring, training, and fairly compensating staff. Establishing and maintaining a safe, warm and caring environment in which a high-quality extended day program can operate
Ensuring that the supervision and safety of the children is maintained at all times
Working cooperatively with all staff to help plan, develop, and implement a program of stimulating age appropriate activities for groups of children, which will promote their physical, social, emotional and intellectual well-being, in accordance with the Child Care Early Years Act (CCEYA), How Does Learning Happen? (HDLH?) and the guidelines established by PLASP for all program components including P.A. Days
Supporting in the daily preparation of nutritious breakfast and snacks within the guidelines of the Canada Food Guide
Participating in monthly staff meetings for the purpose of program planning and problem solvingTHE PREFERRED CANDIDATE WILL HAVE…
An ECE degree/diploma and be registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE) or have a Child Youth Worker/Care diploma (CYW/CYC) or Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) in good standing
Knowledge of the Child Care Early Years Act (CCEYA) and Ministry of Education Licensing requirements
A valid Standard First Aid Certificate, with level C CPR
A valid Criminal Reference Check – Vulnerable Sector
All health requirements (immunizations) to be met in accordance with the CCEYA and Medical Officer of HealthPLASP OFFERS…
