VOLUNTEER PLACEMENT IN PLASP AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
PLASP Child Care Services is a charitable organization operating on a not-for-profit basis, providing high quality early learning and child care, for children up to 12 years of age.
The Position Requires:
- You are a current High School student
- You respect and enjoy interacting with children
- You are caring and energetic and work well with others
- You are flexible and willing to learn
- You show initiative by helping without being asked
- You are fully engaged with the children and program staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Always take direction from program staff and get familiar with program rules
- Help program staff with the children
- Act as a mentor, leader, and a role model
- Talk to and play with all the children
- Participate in all aspects of the program inside/outside
- Ask the program staff questions if you are unsure of what to do/or say
